On June 11 at our first worship service, in place of a sermon we had a presentation by guest speaker Daowd Salih, a native of Darfur, on the unfolding crisis in Darfur. Mr Salih spoke extemporaneously, so we do not have the text of his remarks to post here, but we invite you to listen to the audio recording.

Refugee mother and child in Darfur Mr. Salih has been living as a refugee for several years in the US, acting as a spokesperson for Darfurians and their plight. He is co-founder and Vice Chairman of the Damanga Coalition for Freedom and Democracy (http://www.damanga.org/), which is part of the Save Darfur Coalition (http://www.savedarfur.org/). We recommend that you read this thoughtful article in the Dartmouth Free Press following a visit by Mr Salih to Dartmouth University: www.dartmouth.edu/~thepress/read.php?id=1106.
