Introduction
What is this document?
This is the Christ Church FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions). Since
the site is new and many of the questions haven't actually been
asked, this document attempts to anticipate questions which may be
asked going forward. Because the Internet is a new experience
for many of our members, we have attempted to provide some general
information, in addition to answering questions specific to
Christ Church's use of the Internet.
We have tried to provide extra information, while structuring it so
those who want less detail can get the answers that interest
them. In places where it seemed appropriate, there are links which
offer more technical detail. These are links to "Related Topics"
at the end of answers, and are separated as "Additional Information"
on the Table of Contents page. These might appropriately have been
titled "More Than You Really Want to Know About ..." We hope
that everyone will find something of use here, no matter their
experience level.
Section 1 is an Introduction to this document. Section 2 addresses
specific questions regarding Christ Church and the Internet.
Section 3 presents general information for those who are new to the
Internet. Section 4 contains links to Other Resources generally
related to the material in the FAQ. We hope you find it useful.

What is a FAQ?
What is the purpose of this FAQ?
We would like to think it will begin to answer questions which
have already been asked or are likely to arise from the creation
of a website for the church. It will try to explain the reasons
and the goals for the website, and how you can get involved.
Hopefully it will address some of the issues which might cause
reservations about such a project, and get people excited about
the Christ Church website.
Where can I get a copy of this FAQ?
It will always be available on the Church's website. Additionally,
we will be happy to e-mail a copy to you, or print one out and mail
it by way of the post office. That should cover the possibilities,
but if none of these work we will try to be accomodating.
We expect that it will be available in plain text (no formatting),
and html (hyper-linked for easy viewing with a browser). Other
formats will be considered if necessary.
Where can I get information not covered in this FAQ?
If you have questions specific to Christ Church's website, Paul
Tukey (
) and Paul Tukey
(
) will be happy to try and help. Jim Simon, chair of the
communications committee, is also available. If you are looking for
general computer and Internet information, there are some additional
resources in the last section of this FAQ.
